How might our cities (and villages) be more inclusive and liveable?
All around the world, cities are experimenting with “Smart City” concepts. Our home base, Singapore, is building the world’s first “Smart Nation”. The Smart Cities of the future will use technology, data and digital tools to re-imagine every aspect of city life, government and business services, and citizen engagement.
To achieve this, the cities are cultivating a vibrant and conducive ecosystem, powered by next-generation sensor networks and big data and analytics technologies.
Technology builders and entrepreneurs are encouraged to use the cities as ‘living labs’ to test new ideas and solutions. Also central to this will be a vibrant flow and exchange of data. At the same time, we see movements led by passionate citizen innovators from a diverse range of professional fields and industries who come together to tackle the wide variety of socio-economic and environmental challenges facing our cities. They are oftentimes supported by public, private and people sector organisations to help make our cities more inclusive, liveable, and sustainable.

Moving our Workforce
The COVID-19 pandemic made us change the way we work and the way we travel to work. Reducing
non-essential travel for safety reasons revealed a painfully simply solution to Southeast Asia's peak-hour traffic problem. As we learn more from our experience working from home, we believe that the way the workforce commute is also set to change. We also believe startups can lead this transformation.
